Russian intelligence agencies are endeavoring to circulate a fabricated video through Ukrainian platforms, alleging that Ukraine is planning assaults on oil processing plants in Hungary, Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany. They aim to ascribe the video to the right-wing extremist organization C14, whose leader, Yevhen Karas, affirms that the video is a fabrication, as reported by the Center for Strategic Communications.

“In order to create a semblance of “authenticity”, they are attempting to attribute the video’s creation to the Ukrainian organization C14. And initially disseminate it through Ukrainian media outlets. This is untrue! The Ukrainian side has absolutely no involvement with this video!”, the statement emphasizes.

It is highlighted that such disinformation is part of Russia's information warfare. Its objective is to foster mistrust among European allies and Ukraine, generate the perception of a threat emanating from Kyiv for Europe, bolster pro-Russian elements ahead of elections, and impede or diminish European assistance.

“We implore the administrators of Ukrainian online communities and channels not to participate in the Russian special operation! Refrain from publishing or sharing this video,” the Center urged.

It was previously communicated that the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service is propagating a false narrative regarding Western countries preparing for an incident at the Zapadnaya NPP. The Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council stated that such claims might suggest that Russia itself is preparing for a provocation.
