Kermit the Frog understands that being “green” or completing college and entering adulthood is no easy task, especially in times of economic instability and political upheaval.
The University of Maryland's Class of 2025 received their diplomas Thursday night, with sage advice from the beloved Muppet ringing in their ears.
“As you prepare to take that big step into real life, here's a little advice for you – if you're willing to listen to the frog,” the popular Muppet noted.
“Instead of jumping over someone to get what you want, consider reaching out and taking the leap together, because life is better when we leap next to each other.”
In March, the university announced that Kermit, who appeared in 1955 and became the central figure in the Muppet franchise, would perform at the graduation ceremony. He also already has a connection to the university.
