Prince Harry's relationship with Britain's King Charles remains “distant,” sources say, with Harry's letters and calls to his father going unanswered.
Harry is also unaware of Charles' current health status, having only learned of his recent hospital treatment for side effects from cancer treatments through the news, People magazine reports.
One source told the US publication: “I don't think there is any rapprochement between them,” while another added: “They have become more distant.”
Harry was in London last week to appeal a High Court ruling on his claim against the Home Office over a decision by the Royal and Public Figures Protection Executive (Ravec) that he should be given a different level of security while in the UK.
However, Harry did not meet his father until Charles left for a state visit to Italy.
According to People magazine, the gap between them only widened, and their last face-to-face meeting took place in February 2024, when Charles announced his cancer diagnosis.
Sources close to Harry believe Harry's calls and letters have gone unanswered, and Charles is reportedly keeping his distance to avoid discussing security issues.
