The legal drama with elements of a thriller was created by Todd Kessler, the screenwriter of the legendary “The Sopranos”, so “The Showdown” has a lot of thoughtful dialogues and unconventional plot twists. The series ran for five seasons, received many prestigious awards and good ratings. The filming was quite expensive, which allowed the directors to create a beautiful picture with atmospheric scenery and stylish costumes.
The series tells the story of a ruthless, bitchy and unscrupulous female lawyer Patty Hughes (played by the unsurpassed “villain” of Hollywood – Glenn Close). Nothing is impossible for her, but she does not protect people, but her own interests. It is with Patty that a young college graduate – Ellen Parsons – gets a job at her own risk. The girl has no idea how much her life will change in the cesspool of justice. “The Fight” will especially appeal to fans of projects in the style of “The Enmity”, “The Good Fight”, “And Everywhere There Are Fires” and even “The Devil Wears Prada”.

The family of the hit boy does not intend to “let the case slide,” but achieving justice will be very difficult. The series turned out to be quite difficult, cruel and not for the faint of heart.

The story is for those who liked the series “The One Who Talks to Ghosts”, “Ghosts” and “Being Human”.
Mistakes of the past
The author's drama tells the story of Daniel Holden, who spent 19 long years on death row awaiting sentencing. Once a man was unjustly accused of rape and murder of a woman, which he did not commit.
And many years later, thanks to new technologies, it turned out that Daniel was not guilty of anything. In this series there will be no detective story, crime, description of a difficult life in prison and melancholy. In “Mistakes of the Past” the main character returns to his hometown to try to start life anew, forget the horrors of prison, adapt to the new world and reflect on his life.
Murder on the Beach
A tough detective story about the true nature of people. The plot takes place in the quiet provincial town of Broadchurch, where every resident keeps their secrets. It is here that 11-year-old boy Danny Latimer disappears, who is later found murdered.
The investigation is taken up by two experienced detectives, Ellie Miller and Alec Hardy, who face irreconcilable obstacles in their search for the killer. Local residents cover up everything and everyone, keep their past quiet and are ready for the most cruel things. The writers of the series smoothly unfold the plot, luring the viewer into a web from which you don’t want to get out. The series makes you think: how well do you know the people around you?
Happy Valley
A dark British series full of crime. The plot centers on policewoman Catherine Cawood, whose daughter committed suicide. Moreover, Catherine is left with her daughter's son, born as a result of rape. The rapist is released from prison, and the grandson takes on the worst of his father's traits – his inability to control his anger.
But Catherine is not sad, she tries to deal with crime in “Happy Valley” and help the locals who live in eternal fear. Life in Cawood looks like a charred ruin, but every time, like a phoenix, the woman rises and continues her journey. The series is somewhat reminiscent of “The Meir of Easttown”, only instead of one season, the creators expanded the picture to eight.
