Olya Polyakova recently announced that she has applied for the National Selection for Eurovision 2026. The singer admitted that she would like to try herself on the big stage, but she came across a restriction – according to the current rules, artists who visited Russia after 2014 cannot be participants. So Polyakova appealed to “Social” with a request to reconsider this requirement.
The post did not go unnoticed by Lesya Nikityuk. The TV presenter reacted in her typical manner: if Polyakova really takes part in the selection, she is ready to lead the stage as a presenter. A bold, ironic and very simple proposal in Lesya's style, which has already started a wave of discussions on the Internet.
This is not Nikityuk's first appearance alongside the National Selection: last year she was offered to host the show, but due to her busy schedule at that time, Lesya was forced to decline. Now, it seems, the star is hinting that the moment could be right now — especially if Polyakova appears in the lineup.
