On October 25, 2025, the writer and quizmaster Ken Jennings appeared with senior editor Tyler Foggatt on the stage at the 26th yearly New Yorker Festival, a weekend filled with dialogues, viewings, acts, and much more. This Festival, the magazine’s hallmark occasion, took place in New York City and assembled prominent figures in writing, cinema, humor, TV, government, and healthcare.
Ken Jennings is the New York Times best-selling creator of “Brainiac,” “Maphead,” “Because I Said So!,” “Planet Funny,” and “100 Places to See After You Die.” In 2020, he earned the Greatest of All Time title on the game program “Jeopardy!” and subsequently took over from Alex Trebek as the program’s presenter. He resides in Seattle alongside his family.
Tyler Foggatt holds the position of senior editor at The New Yorker and is a presenter on its politics broadcast, The Political Scene. She became a member of the team in 2017, and has functioned as an editor for the magazine’s Talk of the Town segment. She has covered a variety of topics, including Tom Cruise’s risky feats and Taylor Swift. In 2020, she was the recipient of the American Society of Magazine Editors award for outstanding journalists younger than thirty.
