Joanne McNally's Prosecco Pig recorded €674,823 in profits from live shows

The entertainment business, co-owned by Joanne McNally, creator of the popular My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast, recorded a profit after tax of €674,823.

The first report filed by Ms McNally's Prosecco Pig Ltd shows the comedian's live podcast business has generated profits of €674,823 for the company from its incorporation on 28 July 2022 to the end of December 2023.

Ms McNally is one of the most talked about new stars in the entertainment industry in recent years, along with Vogue Williams, with both capitalising on the popularity of their podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me by staging sold-out live shows around the world.

Ms McNally's Prosecco Pig total cash at the end of 2023 was €475,057.

A 17-month financial statement signed by Ms McNally only on March 11 this year shows the performing arts company has debtors owing a further €554,124.

During this time, Ms McNally received only a modest remuneration of €20,000 from the company. At the end of 2023, the company owed Ms McNally €124,755.

In December 2023, during the period studied, the comedy duo performed four consecutive shows at Dublin's 3Arena, with only U2, Westlife and Picture This able to match the same level of demand at the venue.

Industry publication Pollstar's data for 3Arena from November 2023 to November 2024 shows My Therapist Ghosted Me earned €2.36 million from five sold-out performances over 12 months, with a total audience of 39,873, with box office receipts split between the artists, venue, promoter and ticket seller.

Separate accounts filed by Howth Media Ltd, owned by Vogue Williams, in the UK last year show it recorded a profit after tax of €1.33m for the 12 months ending at the end of July 2023.

Launched in April 2021, My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast currently reaches 3.5 million monthly listeners.

Newly filed separate accounts from JBR Productions Ltd, run by another well-known Irish podcaster and comedian Jarlath Regan, show that from its incorporation on 2 June 2023 to the end of June last year it recorded a profit after tax of €135,396.

Regan is the host of the Irishman Abroad podcast and plans to tour North America with his show In Bits before returning to Ireland and the UK for more shows. As part of his busy 2025 touring schedule, Regan will head to Australia in November.
