As part of the Winter Support program, the government has launched several areas of assistance to citizens. These include free UZ 3000 tickets and cash payments of one thousand and 6,500 hryvnias to low-income segments of the population.

The application process began on December 20, reports “Diya”. The following are eligible to apply for payments of 6,500 hryvnias:
1. Parents or guardians for:
- Children under guardianship or care;
- Children with disabilities, as well as children in foster families and family-type orphanages (including children with disabilities);
- Children among IDPs who are recipients of housing assistance for internally displaced persons;
- Children from low-income families under the age of 18.
2. People with disabilities of group I, including internally displaced persons.
3. Single pensioners who receive a care allowance.

The money received can be spent on a certain list of goods within six months after the funds are received. It will be possible to purchase medicines, shoes, clothes, but there will be certain limits for each type of goods. This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy Denis Ulyutin , reports RBC-Ukraine. In total, approximately 660 thousand people will be able to receive these payments – 4.4 billion hryvnias were allocated for the program.
“All these people are already receiving either benefits or subsidies, and therefore they have already been identified and verified that they are really in difficult life circumstances,” the minister noted, adding that they will receive a push notification in the “Diya” application that they agree to receive assistance from the state. After the recipient agrees, the funds will be credited to a special “Diya card.”
According to the minister, the program will start operating on December 1. If citizens from certain categories have not received a push notification, then they will be able to submit an application until mid-December.

We remind you that applications for a payment of one thousand hryvnias have been accepted since November 15. It can be issued by both smartphone owners through “Diya” and people who do not have modern gadgets.
