Imports of passenger cars increased by 20% / Ukravtoprom
From January to August of 2025, Ukraine imported 258.3 thousand automobiles for personal transportation (both brand-new and previously owned).
This is according to Delo.ua , referencing “ Ukravtoprom”.
This figure is a 20% surge compared to the identical timeframe in 2024. The aggregate customs value for the imported vehicles reached $3.7 billion, marking a 25% increase relative to the preceding year.
Germany emerged as the foremost provider of passenger vehicles to Ukraine, shipping almost 57,000 units. The top echelon also featured the United States and China.

Furthermore, it’s worth noting that in September 2025, Ukrainian citizens submitted requests for the initial registration of 22.7 thousand pre-owned passenger cars acquired from foreign countries. This represents a 1.9% dip from August, yet it’s a 40.2% climb compared to September 2024.
