On October 20th, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented to the Verkhovna Rada proposed legislation concerning the endorsement of presidential orders regarding the prolongation of martial law durations and overall mobilization in Ukraine.
As indicated by the document content released on the legislative body’s online platform, there is a proposition to prolong the duration of martial law and comprehensive conscription in Ukraine commencing November 5 for a duration of 90 days. The orders will take effect concurrently with the enactment of the legislation endorsing them and shall be effective until February 2026.
It is anticipated that the VRU Defense Committee will examine them presently, and on the subsequent day, October 21st, they will be subjected to a vote in parliament.
This will represent the 17th instance of voting on these matters since the commencement of martial law in Ukraine on February 24th, 2022.
