A U.S.-led hub for coordination, situated in Israel, set to supervise the implementation of the ceasefire accord in Gaza is projected to commence operations in the coming days, according to two U.S. authorities speaking to ABC News.
The command hub, tasked with harmonizing security, humanitarian assistance, and reconstruction projects within Gaza, will be commanded by a U.S. Lieutenant General, at least in the beginning, whose identity remains undisclosed. A foreign deputy, holding the equivalent rank of a Major General, will support the commander, the authorities conveyed.
The hub is positioned within Israel, just northeast of Gaza at a location that remains confidential to the community for reasons of security. Authorities clarified that the hub will not be situated on an Israeli military installation to ensure inclusivity for representatives from other nations involved in the rehabilitation of Gaza.

The hub is considered paramount for executing the considerable logistical endeavors required for rebuilding and securing Gaza after two years of conflict. The U.S. and other nations are still in deliberation about the form and operational strategies of a prospective international security detachment within the territory, including the methods for dispersing sustenance and other provisions.
Trump has already deployed 200 U.S. soldiers to oversee the significant undertaking; these forces are skilled in transit, strategic planning, supply management, and safeguarding. They will collaborate with delegates from other allied countries, the commercial sector, and non-profit organizations.
Sources indicate the command center is initiating operations incrementally, reaching what the military terms “initial operational readiness” shortly.
