Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, stated that Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with the US President, Donald Trump, attempted to deceive him by disseminating untrue details regarding the circumstances at the battlefront.
In Zelensky’s words, the Russian leader persuaded Trump that Russian soldiers were already taking over Ukrainian lands and would arrive at Pokrovsk in a month. Furthermore, Putin guaranteed that in two months, the invaders would gain authority over nearly the entirety of eastern Ukraine and progress towards Kharkiv, Dnipro, and even Kyiv.
“They displayed certain maps, peculiar blueprints. I witnessed much of this firsthand. Such stories must be refuted – and our military and diplomatic personnel are engaged in doing just that,” Zelensky underscored, while addressing reporters in Denmark.
The President noted that the misinformation disseminated by the Kremlin is inconsistent with the actual situation, and the Ukrainian armed forces and global collaboration demonstrate the contrary.
The consequences of the discussion between Trump and Putin are examined in the article titled “Meeting in Alaska: A Hasty Run for Office” authored by Mykhailo Honchar.
