England cricket figure under investigation for sexual assault sparks wave of allegations from Metropolitan Police

A prominent English cricket figure is under police investigation over allegations he mutilated two women and sexually assaulted one of them.

As first reported by the Daily Telegraph, a man in his 40s was questioned by the Metropolitan Police in June on the pretext of safety regulations after complaining about the alleged incident on May 22 at a pub in the SW6 area of south-west London, which covers Fulham and Parsons Green.

Drugging is the act of giving a person alcohol or drugs without their knowledge or consent.

In a statement to Sky Sports, the Metropolitan Police said: “We are currently investigating allegations of drug use and sexual assault against two women which occurred on Thursday, May 22, in a pub in SW6.

“It is believed that two women were drugged and one of them was allegedly sexually assaulted.

“On Thursday, June 5, a man in his 40s was questioned under the pretext of complying with safety regulations.

“The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”

The ECB declined to comment when contacted by Sky Sports News.
