In the first six months of 2025, 42.7 thousand passenger electric vehicles (BEVs) were imported to Ukraine. This is 38% more than a year earlier.
This is reported by Delo.ua with reference to data from Ukravtoprom.
It is noted that the total customs value of these cars amounted to $813.8 million.
According to analysts, of this number, 9.6 thousand cars were new (+19%), and 33.1 thousand were used (+45%).
The total customs value of new electric vehicles was $232.1 million.
In contrast, imports of used electric vehicles cost $581.7 million.
Where are they coming from?
Ukravtoprom reports that the lion's share of new electric vehicles (91%) was imported from China.
Japan is in second place (4%), Germany is in third place (3%).
The leader in the supply of used electric vehicles was the United States (39%).
The second result in Korea is 17%, and the third in Germany is 15%.

In July, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with more than 7 thousand electric vehicles (BEV).
The largest regional markets for electric vehicle sales in Ukraine were the city of Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Lviv regions.
