By the Independence Day of Ukraine, more than 962,000 Ukrainians, including war veterans and those who have made special merits to the Motherland and distinguished themselves while defending their own country, will receive a one-time cash payment. This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.

“The total amount of payments is over UAH 1.1 billion. The first payments have already been sent to the recipients' accounts,” the report says.
The ministry recalled that the Independence Day payment was introduced in 2023, when the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the resolution “Some Issues of Social Protection of War Veterans and Victims of Nazi Persecutions” developed by the Ministry of Social Policy.
“In accordance with current legislation, almost a million Ukrainians will receive these payments in amounts ranging from UAH 450 to UAH 3,100,” the report says.
