Lil Nas X is facing charges of assaulting law enforcement after police say he appeared naked on the streets of Los Angeles last week.
The artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, is charged with three counts of causing bodily harm to a peace officer and one count of obstructing the execution of official duties, according to a statement from the district attorney's office.
The musician was initially arrested on Friday on suspicion of obstructing police work.
The formal filing of charges took place on Monday.
Police say officers spotted a 26-year-old man naked on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City at around 6am (2pm London time) on Friday.
During the attempted arrest, the department claims, the man physically resisted the officers, which led to his arrest.
Due to suspicions of intoxication, he was taken to a medical facility for examination, and after several hours of observation, he was transferred to a pre-trial detention facility, where he currently remains.
