Inpost has integrated the InPost Mobile app with Apple CarPlay. From now on, users of cars equipped with the system will be able to remotely open their lockers without getting out of the car or using their smartphone.
The new feature allows you to navigate to a selected parcel locker and open lockers remotely. After connecting a phone with the app installed to CarPlay, the InPost Mobile icon appears on the car's screen.
Users can check the list of parcels awaiting pickup and select one of the available options: “Navigate” or “Open Locker.” The former launches the car's default navigation app and maps a route to the designated Parcel Locker. The latter allows the locker to be opened upon arrival – this feature only works within a short distance of the device to prevent accidental activation.
“This solution increases comfort, safety, and simplifies parcel collection during everyday activities. This new functionality will certainly delight fans of technological innovations who value the integration of mobile devices with other “smart” solutions,” says Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of the InPost Group.
Using the service in a car requires consent to share your location. This is necessary for the program to navigate to the nearest parcel locker.
According to data published by the company, in 2024, the InPost Group generated revenues of PLN 9.85 billion and paid PLN 375 million in corporate income tax, over PLN 100 million more than the previous year. The tax accounted for 3.8% of revenues, the highest amount in the company's history.
