According to the latest edition of the European Innovation Scoreboard 2025 report, Poland ranked 23rd in the innovation ranking among European Union countries.
Poland has strengths in digital infrastructure, cloud computing, human capital in higher education, and creative industries. Particularly noteworthy are its above-average investment in information technology (107.8% of the EU average) and its high level of cloud computing usage (126.8% of the EU average, 9th in the EU).
However, barriers such as low attractiveness of research for foreign talent, insufficient venture capital financing, weak innovation activity of SMEs and low level of commercialization of innovations limit the advancement in innovation rankings.
