Cork boxer Callum Walsh will be involved in one of the key events of the year when he takes on Fernando Vargas Jr in Las Vegas.
The fight will take place on the undercard of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford on September 13 and will be streamed live on Netflix.
Walsh, who is backed by UFC CEO Dana White, remains undefeated with a record of 13-0 and is one of Irish boxing's brightest stars.
In Walsh's last fight, the bout was stopped just seconds into the fifth round when the referee decided Walsh was unable to continue due to a cut above his eye.
The fight then went to points and the Cork native won a unanimous decision over Mexican boxer Elias Espadas.
The 24-year-old boxer won the WBC USA Silver super middleweight title and currently holds the WBC Continental Americas super welterweight title.
