The technology and production hub will be built in the area of the Logistics and Industrial Center “Ruszcza”, which is part of the “Kraków – Nowa Huta Przyszłości” project. The investment worth approximately PLN 1 billion will be carried out by 7R, a developer of warehouses and industrial facilities; construction will start this year.
Michał Białas, president of 7R, announced on Friday that the complex will consist of three buildings, which will provide tenants with a total of 230,000 square meters of modern technological and production space.
“The investment is planned for customers interested in implementing highly advanced production. The hub also provides space for smaller companies, primarily local entrepreneurs. Ultimately, a kind of cluster will be created that will provide opportunities for the development of various industries at the same time,” explained Białas.
The investment area has been examined and all necessary permits have been obtained. According to the company's plans, construction will start this year, and the first stage involves remediation (cleaning – PAP) of the industrially degraded area.
The Mayor of Krakow, Aleksander Miszalski, assessed that the 7R company’s undertaking is one of the largest industrial investments in the city.
“This is a great opportunity for Krakow and its residents, because the investment will provide new jobs and will be of great importance to the city budget due to the taxes generated,” Miszalski emphasized.
According to him, the investment is closely aligned with Kraków’s strategy, which focuses on the development of an innovative economy and creating attractive conditions for new investors.
7R is a leader in the commercial real estate market in Poland and the Czech Republic. Its portfolio includes over 1.8 million square meters of completed projects and another 2.5 million square meters in the pipeline.
“Nowa Huta Przyszłości” is a joint initiative of the Municipality of Kraków and the Małopolska Province, the aim of which is to transform the former industrial areas of Nowa Huta into a modern economic, scientific and residential district. (PAP)
