New York City has long attracted creative, enterprising people, not all of whom realize their talents in the studio or on stage. On the cover of the March 17, 2025 issue, Victoria Tentler-Krylova captured a moment that happens every day in kitchens across the city. “I can’t exactly follow or reproduce any recipe, even my own,” Tentler-Krylova said. “When I cook or bake, I immerse myself in the creative process. Sometimes I succeed, and sometimes, well, art requires sacrifice.”
