Brentford vs Wolves, Wednesday 7.30pm

The influence Gary O’Neil has had on Wolves can be seen through the spiking attacking metrics of Mario Lemina this season. O’Neil wants to attack. He wants his players to play with freedom. And that has been stamped all over Lemina, who has made his name as a midfield enforcer – and a good one at that – but is now adding extras to his game in the form of making intelligent attacking runs into dangerous parts of the pitch.

He’s having more shots and scoring more goals than ever before. His goal against Chelsea was his third in his last eight starts, backed up a return of 14 shots. The markets haven’t quite caught up with this increased goal threat so his 22/1 first goalscorer price makes plenty of appeal.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-1

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace, Wednesday 7.30pm

Although Palace are a club that are stuck in no man’s land in the Premier League, those behind the scenes deserve huge praise for the signings and continued development of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise. Both are rapidly becoming two of the most exciting attacking players in the league – and while Eze remains hampered by injury, Olise is currently leading the Palace charge. There’s nothing to fear in a trip to Stamford Bridge anymore and Olise has the game to help Palace to a result with my eyes firmly on the 15/8 with Sky Bet on the winger scoring or grabbing an assist.

Since returning to the side on November 25, Olise has scored twice in five starts and looks to have bagged penalty taking duties having netted one at Manchester City. He leads the Palace charts for most chances created (16) and successful dribbles (12) since his return at Luton and his team-mates took advantage of his service when Jordan Ayew headed home his cross in the draw with Brighton. There should be more assists and goals to come, starting here.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-1

Everton vs Manchester City, Wednesday 8.15pm

There is absolutely no way I could even consider backing at Manchester City at 1/2 with Sky Bet. This fixture just screams getting Everton on your side at the prices with Goodison Park likely to be rocking and rolling behind their dangerous and committed team.

Sean Dyche’s team have won eight of their last 13 league matches – only Aston Villa, Arsenal and Liverpool have taken more.

They were very unfortunate at Tottenham, too, where they won the expected goal battle and recorded 16 shots from inside the box. This team know how to create chances and City have only kept three clean sheets in their last 22 matches in domestic and European action. The 11/8 with Sky Bet on Everton has to go close.

SCORE PREDICTION: 2-1

Brighton vs Tottenham, Thursday 7.30pm

Ange Postecoglou vs Roberto De Zerbi – my word. Risk-reward football meets risk-reward football. It’s going to go off. Those that like to back goals and shots are going to be in clover.

Over a 51 Premier League game sample size, De Zerbi’s Brighton have seen an average of 3.48 goals scored per game while Postecoglou has overseen an average of 3.39 goals scored per game since taking charge. Having watched Spurs in action against Everton, it only further convinced my thought process that this game could be heading down the game of the season avenue. Spurs were so open, allowing counter attacks out wide to rip them open at will. Brighton will exploit that but will also be exploited by the Spurs press.

I would be stunned if the goals return at the Amex on Thursday does not threaten that average with the over 3.5 goals line priced up surprisingly generously at 11/10 with Sky Bet.

SCORE PREDICTION: 4-4

Arsenal vs West Ham, Thursday 7.30pm

Arsenal are unbeaten in 12 home games this season, winning 10 and meet a West Ham side that cannot be relied upon to bring the best version of themselves. It’s 30/100 with Sky Bet for the home win though so there’s little interest in getting involved in the outright market.

Instead, I’m heading to the player fouls market where Oleksandr Zinchenko is worth backing to make one or more fouls at 5/4 with Sky Bet and two or more fouls at 13/2 considering he’s going to be tasked with marking the in-form Mohamed Kudus, who is a foul-drawing master.

Since he nailed down a spot in the West Ham side at the end of October, no player has completed more dribbles in the Premier League (33). That is leading to defenders having plenty of nibbles at the glorious Ghanaian with only Jordan Ayew (29) and Bruno Guimaraes (29) winning more fouls across that period than Kudus (25). That’s an average of 2.9 fouls per 90. Zinchenko, who struggled in one-on-one moments with Mohamed Salah last weekend, making one foul, will have his hands full.

SCORE PREDICTION: 2-0
