Massimiliano Allegri would be good Arsenal manager, says Mario Lemina

Mario Lemina believes Massimiliano Allegri would be a good replacement for Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

Massimiliano Allegri would bring “something special” to the Premier League if he were to become the next Arsenal manager, according to Mario Lemina.

The Juventus head coach, alongside Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac and former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique, are among the contenders to replace the outgoing Arsene Wenger.

In support of Allegri, Southampton midfielder Lemina, who spent two seasons playing under the Italian at Juventus, has backed him to have a similar impact on English football as Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte.

“He will give something special to the Premier League like Pep Guardiola [Manchester City] did, and Antonio Conte [Chelsea] did as well,” Lemina exclusively told Sky Sports News.

“Because he is Italian he will give something special because he is more tactical. I think he would be very good for Arsenal if he goes.”

Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal play Atletico Madrid in Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second-leg with the tie levelled at one-all after last week’s 1-1 draw at the Emirates.

Wenger will lead Arsenal out at the Emirates for one final time against Burnley on Sunday before he ends his 22-year dynasty at the north London club.
