Skoretsky explained that air defense is a complex system, where various elements complement each other, and electronic warfare allows reducing the effectiveness of enemy attacks even on the approach. According to him, currently more than 50% of enemy air targets are neutralized precisely thanks to the work of Ukrainian electronic warfare equipment.

I would say the logic is reversed. It is because of our successful work that the Russians are forced to develop their devices. First we develop a new solution, their strikes become ineffective, and then they start to evolve and improve their drones.

He also noted that in some aspects, Ukrainian experts are ahead of the Russians by predicting their next steps.

According to Skoretsky, Ukrainian electronic warfare means affect the navigation of Russian cruise missiles, which reduces the effectiveness of strikes.

That is, we create conditions under which the object can be damaged, but not rendered inoperable.

Skoretsky noted that many missiles, like drones, use a navigation field to aim at a target, but after electronic warfare interference they are forced to change their trajectory. At the same time, cruise missiles have alternative guidance systems that allow them to continue moving towards the target.

In effect, we are jamming the main guidance system and forcing the enemy missile to switch to a less effective way of seeing the target and miss.

According to him, after losing GPS navigation, missiles switch to backup systems – optical, radar, or inertial, but due to the high speed, they do not have time to accurately adjust the course, which leads to deviation from the target.
