The Defense Forces are testing special exoskeletons that help artillerymen carry heavy shells more easily. The technological solution is already being tested in combat conditions in the Pokrovskoye direction.
Main theses:
- The Ukrainian Defense Forces are testing exoskeletons for artillerymen at the front, simplifying their working conditions and reducing physical strain.
- Exoskeletons allow artillerymen to more easily carry heavy shells, changing approaches to frontline missions.
The first exoskeletons are being tested at the DSHV
This was reported by the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Test samples are already being used by servicemen of the 147th Separate Artillery Brigade in the Pokrovsky direction. The technology allows artillerymen to perform tasks more efficiently, despite the considerable weight of the shells.
According to Colonel Vitaliy Serdyuk, head of the corps' missile forces and artillery department, the daily work of the fighters requires extraordinary efforts.
Every day, artillerymen endure high physical exertion. They carry 15-30 shells weighing 50 kg each every day. According to the test results, they get less tired, work faster, and remain combat-ready longer.

The introduction of exoskeletons is part of the “technolanding” philosophy, the goal of which is to make human work easier through innovation.
Main characteristics of the equipment:
-
reducing physical load on the body by up to 30%;
-
support for travel speeds up to 20 km/h;
-
The range is 17 km.
We facilitate human efforts with technological solutions, the corps' press service notes.
