Anthropic co-founder and Claude creator Jack Clarke believes that the rapid development of artificial intelligence needs to be stopped before it's too late. He believes that the probability that AI could destroy all of humanity in the future is definitely not zero.

The co-founder of Anthropic points out that the world simply cannot ignore scenarios in which the development of this technology would lead to catastrophic consequences.
In his opinion, situations are indeed possible in the future in which AI would have a “probability above zero of killing the entire population of the planet,” writes EVZ.
That is why Clark called for everything possible to be done to slow down the technological development of AI before it is too late.
He suggested that people need more time to adapt, as well as to realize the potential consequences.
However, Clarke considers this scenario unlikely, as the development of the technology is supported in parallel by numerous players and states engaged in continuous competition, in which commercial and geopolitical rivalries tend to overshadow the risks associated with the technologies created.
