Our country is the first European market for the Chinese brand Chery. At first, two models from the Tiggo series will appear here – two SUVs with combustion and hybrid engines. Prices? For a Pole's pocket.
The Chery Automobile concern has been present in Poland since last year thanks to two brands it owns – Omoda and Jaecoo. Their sales are growing, and encouraged by this, the Chinese decided to continue their expansion. This time, they focused on the flagship brand Chery, for which Poland will be the first market in Europe. Two models from the Tiggo series were presented on Monday, and on Tuesday, July 1, they will go on sale.
These are the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 models. Both are SUVs, but they differ in size and equipment.
Chery Tiggo 7 – parameters and prices
The Chery Tiggo 7 is described as the “world's best-selling C-segment SUV”. The 5-seater vehicle is 4,553 mm long, 1,862 mm wide and 1,696 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,670 mm. The car offers 500 l of boot space and 1,305 l with the rear seats folded down.

It will be offered with both internal combustion (ICE) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engines, in both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions.
Prices? The cheapest version Essential, with a 1.6TGDI petrol supercharged unit with 147 HP will be available from PLN 124,900, and the Comfort version will be PLN 10,000 more expensive. The Prestige AWD version with the same engine but with all-wheel drive will be offered for PLN 154,900.
The Chery Tiggo 7 in the hybrid version is powered by a 1.5T-GDI DHE unit with a combustion engine power of 143 HP and an electric engine of 204 HP, which makes up the maximum combined power of the drive unit of 279 HP. The hybrid Tiggo 7 in the Essential equipment version will be available for PLN 154,900, and in the Prestige version for PLN 164,900.
Cherry Tiggo 8 – parameters and prices
The Cherry Tiggo 8 is positioned as a premium SUV from the D segment, providing greater comfort and the highest level of safety. It can accommodate 7 people. It is 4725 mm long, 1860 mm wide and 1705 mm high. In the trunk with a full complement of passengers, we will find only 193 l of capacity, but after folding the last row of seats, the capacity increases to 889 l, and with the second row also folded to an impressive 1930 l.

The Cherry Tiggo 8 is powered by exactly the same engines as the smaller model – a 147 hp petrol engine or a hybrid with a total power of 279 hp. In the case of this model, only front-wheel drive is available.
How much does Tiggo 8 cost? For the petrol Tiggo 8 ICE in the Essential equipment version we will pay PLN 149,900, and in the Prestige version PLN 159,900. In the case of the hybrid drive in the Essential version the cost is PLN 169,900, and in the Prestige version PLN 179,900.
The Chinese brand hopes to attract customers to the TIggo models not only thanks to attractive prices for this class of cars, but also thanks to a 7-year warranty and a full insurance package for a symbolic zloty.
Chery – what brand is this?
The Chery brand is little known in Poland, but has been celebrating triumphs in other markets for a long time. For years, it has been the largest exporter of passenger cars in China. The brand is present in over 110 countries and has over 16 million users in the world. In 2024 alone, Chery sold 2.6 million vehicles, generating revenues equivalent to over PLN 283 billion and earning a place on the Fortune Global 500 list. Chery assures that it treats Poland as a key strategic market for its further expansion on the European continent.
