On Thursday, February 12, the draw for the 2026/2027 UEFA Nations League, which was won by Portugal last year, took place in Brussels.
The Ukrainian national team, which failed to return to the elite division of the tournament following the results of the previous round, learned its opponents in Group 2 of Division B. Serhiy Rebrov's team will play (at home and away) in the same quartet with the national teams of Hungary, Georgia and Northern Ireland.

The group stage matches of the 5th Nations League will be held from September 24 to November 17, 2026. If the Ukrainian national team takes first place in its group, it will rise to Division A, if second, it will play play-off matches with the team that will be in third place in the quartet of Division A, if third, it will play play-off matches with the opponent that finished second in the group of Division C.

We would like to add that the winners of the Division A groups and the second-placed teams will participate in the quarter-final matches of the Nations League home and away (March 25-30, 2027), and the winners of these matches will qualify for the “final four”, which will be played on June 9-13, 2027.
We remind you that the Ukrainian national team still has a chance to travel to the 2026 World Cup. To become a participant in the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, Serhiy Rebrov's team, according to the results of the draw, needs to defeat the Swedish national team in the semi-finals of the play-offs (March 26 in Valencia) and in the final – the winner of the Poland-Albania pair (March 31 in Valencia).
