Stephen Robinson: St Mirren manager signs new three-year deal with Scottish Premier League club until 2028

Stephen Robinson has extended his contract at St Mirren; the 50-year-old has guided the club to three successive top-six finishes; his assistant Brian Kerr has also signed a new deal; St Mirren return to the Scottish Premier League with a home game against Rangers on August 24, live on Sky Sports; kick-off 12pm.

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson has signed a new contract that will run until the summer of 2028.

The 50-year-old, who took over in 2022, has led the Buddies to three successive top-six finishes in the Scottish Premier League.

In 2024, he brought St Mirren back into European football for the first time since 1985.

Assistant manager Brian Kerr has also agreed a new deal with the Paisley club.

About the new contract, Robinson said: “I am delighted to sign a new contract.

“I am pleased that the Board has recognised the hard work that Brian and I have shown over the past three years, with three top six finishes.

“This is an amazing achievement for the whole team at the football club – both on and off the pitch.

“I feel like we're at the very beginning of a new phase. There's a lot of hard work ahead, but we're all trying to move in the right direction. I always say, 'whatever it takes to move the boat forward,' and I'm surrounded by people who are doing that to the best of their ability.

“We all want it to happen faster, but we don't have infinite resources, so we have to work hard and try. Everyone is trying to get the football club on the right track.”
