Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is hopeful that Adam Wharton's ankle injury on Monday night will not rule out his key midfielder for the FA Cup final.
Wharton was the standout performer in the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League – in front of England manager Thomas Tuchel – until he was taken off with half an hour remaining.
“I hope it's not that serious,” Glasner said. “It's a little sore, it's a little twisted, but hopefully it's not that serious.”
Glasner was pleased his side were able to demonstrate they were not solely focused on the upcoming Wembley clash with Manchester City in 12 days' time.
They took the lead through Eberechi Eze's penalty after Tyreek Mitchell was brought down in the box following a challenge between Nicolas Dominguez and Matz Sels.
Referee Andy Madley initially did not award a penalty but, after reviewing the replay, changed his mind and cautioned goalkeeper Sels for causing trouble.
Eze failed to convert his final penalty, as did Jean-Philippe Mateta, who missed in the semi-final against Aston Villa.
However, the England striker took the kick confidently, despite some slight hesitation during his run-up.
However, Forest responded immediately when Murillo stuck out a leg to deny Neco Williams' shot into the net.
