
The most titled Ukrainian biathlete, Olympic champion Olena Pidgrushna, who gave birth to her first child last year, revealed another talent. The famous athlete, who recently announced the end of her career, got into the Book of Records of Ukraine as the author of the largest number of paintings embroidered by an Olympic champion.

“On March 28, during the evening dedicated to the end of my sports career, another special event happened for me – I set a Ukrainian record: the largest number of embroidered pictures created by an Olympic champion,” wrote Olena Pidgrushna on her Instagram page. “Embroidery for me is more than a hobby. It is a way to recover, find inspiration and put a piece of my soul into every work.”

The athlete previously said that she took up embroidery (both with beads and cross-stitch) at the beginning of her career. At first, she embroidered small pictures, and then she got into it. Among the 20-30 paintings in the biathlon star's collection is a work 120 cm long and 60 cm high, which she embroidered for as many as five years.
Recall that Olena Pidgrushna is the 2014 Sochi Olympic relay champion, the 2013 world sprint champion, and a 5-time European champion, as well as a 27-time World Cup medalist.
Previously, “FACTS” reported that Olena Pidgrushna got married for the third time in May last year.
