Dublin kicked off their All-Ireland football championship defence with a 2-19 to 0-13 win over Roscommon at Croke Park in Group two.
In a first half where Roscommon frustrated Dublin, the All-Ireland champions took a 0-10 to 0-9 lead into the interval.
However, goals from Con O’Callaghan and Colm Basquel helped Dublin to a more comfortable second half, with Roscommon only scoring four points.
Dublin will be away to Cavan next, while Roscommon will host rivals Mayo.
Louth got the better of Meath by 3-10 to 9 points in Inniskeen.
Sam Mulroy scored 1-4, while Craig Lennon scored 2-1 in a clinical display by the Leinster runners-up.
Armagh responded from their Ulster final defeat with a 0-16 to 0-11 win over Westmeath.
Rory Grugan scored five points for Armagh, as they are level on points and points difference with Galway. They will travel to Derry next weekend, in a must win game for Mickey Harte’s side.
In the evening game, Donegal once again got the better of Tyrone as they were 0-21 to 0-14 winners in Group three.
Oisin Gallen scored seven points for the Ulster champions as they top the group ahead of Cork.
