There are big places up for grabs in football and hurling this weekend.
Donegal begin their first group match in the Ulster Championship against Tyrone.
Donegal were on the right side of a thrilling Ulster final, beating Armagh who in turn beat Tyrone in the Ulster semi-final.
Armagh face struggling Derry in Group Four, with Dublin's win over Galway last weekend making the group more volatile.
Meath will be hoping to make amends for their Leinster final defeat to Louth when they face Cork, while the Leinster champions take on Monaghan.
In hurling, Dublin will take on Galway at Parnell Park in the decider. A win for either team will see them through to the final against Kilkenny in Leinster.
In Munster, Cork need to beat Waterford to continue their season after last weekend's defeat to Limerick.
If Cork win, they will face Limerick in the Munster final, with Tipperary finishing third.
However, if Waterford win, they will move into third position and Limerick will face Tipperary in the final, ending Cork's season.
