Liverpool striker Federico Chiesa has said a return to Italy is “something to consider” this summer.
The 27-year-old has come off a disappointing debut season in England, making just 14 appearances after joining the Premier League winners for £10million in late August, and is now preparing for pre-season training which begins on July 8.
However, when asked about the possibility of returning to his homeland, the Italy international told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “It’s something to discuss in the summer.
“My family, my agent and I have a great relationship with Liverpool and the main goal is to get ready for pre-season. We will definitely find the best solution for everyone.”
“I am following the Liverpool programme every day to be in the best possible condition for testing on July 8.
“Despite the lack of game practice (at Juventus), I was able to train at a high level, but I missed the friendly matches. I had to start again at Liverpool and that delayed my progress.
“I hope (next season) will be my season. My dream is to participate in the World Championships.”
