Chelsea are set to beat other Premier League clubs to the loan deal for Brighton's Facundo Buonanotta.
The Blues are close to finalising a season-long loan deal for the 20-year-old in a deal that does not include an option or obligation to buy.
Other Premier League clubs, including Leeds United, have also shown interest in Buonanotto.
Brighton insist they only want to loan the Argentine striker to an English club.

Borussia Dortmund made an offer to loan the player with an option to buy, and French club Lyon also showed interest in the player.
Buonanotte will become the latest Brighton player or staff member to join Chelsea after Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over the Stamford Bridge club in 2022.
Buonanotte will be reunited with former Seagals teammates Marc Cucurella, Robert Sanchez, Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro at Stamford Bridge.
The club also made a number of recruits, including former manager Graham Potter and recruitment specialist Kyle McAuley, who has since joined Potter at West Ham, as well as Sam Jewell and Paul Winstanley.

Including the cost of Potter's appointment, Chelsea have spent more than £287m on bringing in players and staff from Brighton, with chief executive Paul Barber recently jokingly telling a club supporters forum that Chelsea are his “best customers”.
Chelsea's pursuit of Buonanotta follows an attempt by Chelsea's sister club Strasbourg to sign Julio Enciso, although that deal appears to have stalled due to injury to the Paraguayan international.
Buonanotte has scored five goals in 50 appearances for Brighton since arriving from Rosario Central in 2023. He spent last season on loan at Leicester, where he scored six goals in 35 appearances.
He can play on the right flank or as a No.10 and will become Chelsea's ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
