Despite the fact that our team was happy with a draw (the yellow-blues had lost their chance to win the group even earlier), Oleksandr Kosenko's men did not tempt fate and were able to break the opponent's resistance. Perhaps the decisive moment was one minute towards the end of the first half, when Chernyavsky and Zhuk scored twice against the Czechs.
After the break, the “yellow-blue” team, thanks to the efforts of the author of the “double” Abakshin and Shved, punished their opponents three more times, who went all-in and replaced the goalkeeper with a fifth field player. However, the Czechs also benefited from the “numerical advantage” three times – 5:3.

Meanwhile, the opponent of Oleksandr Kosenko's team has been determined. It is the strongest team in Group A, France, which the “yellow-blue” defeated in the match for the “bronze” of the 2024 World Cup, and recently beat in a friendly (3:1). The match will take place on Saturday, January 31 (starting at 5:00 p.m.).
Another quarterfinal pairing was formed by Armenia and Croatia (January 31, 8:00 PM).
