Why do we still invent victories over other people's marriages? 2

For almost an hour now, I've been scrolling through a thread on a women's forum, where the participants are tearing apart the topic with the scale of experienced gladiators: “From mistress to wife. Ask. I'll answer honestly,” informs Ukr.Media.

The author is a thirty-two-year-old owner of Spanish real estate and a spotless white coat. Ten years ago, as a twenty-two-year-old “very proud girl,” she gave a tough ultimatum to a thirty-five-year-old married businessman. And he left the family. Of course, the previous wife was hysterical, the marriage was held together solely by a two-strip test and influential parents, and sex there resembled the fulfillment of boring neighborly obligations.

A classic of the genre. Men are generally brilliant at selling this legend of their tragic marriage to new passions, where they, poor people, suffer for years in captivity of their own decency, waiting for the same savior.

A chorus of Furies instantly gathers in the comments.

Women, whose own unlived traumas seem to simply flow through the screen, prophesy en masse to the author the law of the boomerang, karmic punishment, and a new, fresher lover.

“Traitors are not left alive”, “He is already kissing the feet of another” and my absolute favorite – about “corrupted energy”.

This collective groan is always disguised as a search for a higher justice. We desperately want to believe that somewhere on a cloud there is a heavenly judge sitting and neatly writing out fines for stolen men.

But the truth is that someone's father can safely leave his sick wife and children, remarry, and happily plant tomatoes with his new wife for forty years.

The heroine fights back as best she can, gradually losing the facade of a happy woman whose feet are kissed in tears every day.

Suddenly it turns out that she herself is not against her husband going somewhere to the left. The main thing is that he brings home money, wears expensive suits and pays the bills, while she, by her own cynical admission, is simply “pumping resources.”

A touching transformation: from a lovestruck victor who rescued her husband from the clutches of a vixen, to a cold-blooded asset manager.

Someone in the comments aptly notes: seducing a man at twenty-two is not a sport at all. It's a basic, free option of youth.

A real master class in “from mistress to wife” is the story of Lauren Sanchez, who forced Jeff Bezos to share billions in front of the entire planet. And here – just a middle-class businessman, the illusion of total control and several dozen women who prove to each other who really hit the jackpot.

It's interesting to watch how we stubbornly try to turn a banal everyday adultery into an epic saga with an uncontrollable, almost childish desire to prove to at least someone that we are definitely loved more than the previous one.

Bearded Pike ☄️ Karma will catch up 03/17/2026 10:00 After breaking up with my mother, my father went to our neighbor, who lived on the floor above. Later, my father sued my mother for a share of the apartment (which, later, my mother and stepfather bought from him), he and his new wife sold her apartment and bought another, more spacious one in another area of the city. It would seem – a “happy ending”. But no… After my father's death (and even during his lifetime), his new wife repeatedly said that they didn't smell like a family – “two neighbors in a communal apartment” who had lived like that for about thirty years. Well, you can't buy a ticket to heaven with someone else's money + Reply
