The Ukrainian representation has commenced its work in Geneva, where, today, they will deliberate on a 28-item blueprint for ceasing hostilities. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that teams from Ukraine, the USA, and Europe are maintaining close communication.

“It’s positive that diplomacy has been initiated and that the dialogue can be productive… We must halt the violence and guarantee the prevention of renewed conflict. I await the conclusions of today’s conversations; my expectation is that all involved parties will engage constructively,” the president expressed.

Concurrently, the chief of the presidential administration, Andriy Yermak, who is leading the Ukrainian contingent, reported that he had conducted sessions with the national security counselors of the leaders of Great Britain, France, and Germany: Jonathan Powell, Emmanuel Bonn, and Gunther Sautter.

“The upcoming session is with the U.S. delegation. We are extremely constructive,” he mentioned.

As a reminder, today in Geneva, high-ranking representatives from the U.S., Europe, and Ukraine will deliberate on a strategy to bring an end to the conflict. The U.S. side is open to further refinement of its proposition, which includes the pullout of forces from Donbas and a ceiling on the headcount of Ukrainian Armed Forces. European authorities have formulated an alternative proposal.
