The Ukrainian President has received a preliminary plan from the USA, which, in Washington’s view, might breathe fresh life into diplomatic endeavors aimed at concluding the conflict, according to information from the Presidential Office.
During discussions, the Head of State articulated fundamental principles deemed vital for the Ukrainian populace. Subsequent to the discussions, both sides concurred on collaborative efforts concerning the suggested points, with the aim of establishing them as the groundwork for a fair resolution to the hostilities.
Ukraine, from the instant of the Russian aggression, has consistently championed peace and backs all genuine initiatives capable of furthering it. From the year’s onset, Kyiv has signaled its eagerness to engage with President Donald Trump’s propositions geared toward halting the bloodshed. Donald Trump’s prior attempts to negotiate and conclude the war consistently proved fruitless. This was due to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s steadfast adherence to his maximalist prerequisites. Former MI6 Chief Richard Moore highlighted Putin’s endeavor to outmaneuver all parties involved. According to him, the Kremlin is continually pursuing tactical maneuvers that would secure favorable positions.
Furthermore, Reuters conveyed that the US purportedly communicated to Volodymyr Zelensky that Kyiv should contemplate a revised plan, as the Ukrainian President faces pressure amidst a corruption controversy involving select close associates. Financial Times journalist Christopher Miller also emphasized that the presented document essentially represents Ukraine’s capitulation, encompassing the most stringent demands imposed by Moscow.
