US State Secretary Marco Rubio declared that the conflict in Gaza persists, underscoring that additional time is requisite, given the ongoing dialogues concerning the logistical aspects of Donald Trump’s proposal for peace. During his appearance on NBC, he highlighted the urgency of determining the methodology for freeing the captives and establishing a novel Palestinian governing body.

“Everyone has concurred, Israel included, that eventually, as this progression advances, Gaza will be governed by a Palestinian expert organization distinct from Hamas, free from terrorists, supported, facilitated, and directed by a global association akin to the Peace Council,” Rubio stated.

Rubio further mentioned that the bombardments must cease during the exchange of hostages. He likewise emphasized the imperative for Israeli air raids to cease upon reaching a peace accord.

In the Secretary of State’s view, the establishment of a Gaza administrative framework within a mere three days is unfeasible. Concurrently, he asserted that agreement discussions should not extend for weeks or even days.

As a reminder, indirect talks involving Israel and Hamas are slated to occur in Egypt this Monday. Previously, Trump voiced his approval of the Palestinian faction’s proposal to free all captives.
