Many employers use more cunning methods to avoid paying employees compensation upon dismissal, they push them to resign of their own free will. Even if the employee later dares to complain, the inspectors will just throw up their hands, because he himself decided to leave the company, informs Ukr.Media.
By such signs you can determine that they are trying to get you out of the team and fire you at will. Do not give in to these provocations and fight to the end. Otherwise, what will they do, fire you?
Your superiors speak negatively about your work without any justification.
When an employee does something wrong, a normal manager will tell him what his mistake was and help him deal with it. Even if there is friction between colleagues, a valuable employee will always receive adequate feedback, at least in terms of information.
If you are fired from the company, the feedback about your poor performance will be devoid of arguments or will seem far-fetched. Moreover, attacks can occur even if the negativity you are accused of was not caused by you. This leads to many situations with absurd reasons for dismissal.
They are making a negative example of you.
It's nice when you are set as an example to other employees in a good way. Such praise makes the employee feel grateful to his superiors and even a kind of sense of duty. For managers, this approach is good because the employee receives emotional doping and performs his work more efficiently, in order to become an example for others again, and also not to lose the favor of his senior colleagues.
If an employee is forced to write a statement of their own free will, they begin to oppress him. At first, it is humorous teasing that hints at incompetence, then outright harassment with the demonstration of an illusory or even real board of shame.
Moreover, it doesn't have to be open aggression; phrases like “your colleague did this, and it's wrong, don't do the same,” referring to you, are enough.
Privileges for other employees do not apply to you
It's something minor, like paid time off or vacation at a certain time. If you notice that Peter and Mary are conditionally receiving certain privileges, with the same or even less contribution to the company's affairs, and you only get leftovers, then you are being forced to draw the “right” conclusions. Usually, this is a gentle nudge to look for another job where they can offer more favorable conditions.
The same goes for significant things like a monthly or quarterly bonus. Not seeing additional amounts in your account, even though you work just as hard as others? This is a clear indicator of hostility.
You are entrusted with all the “dirty” work
The person they want to get rid of from the company becomes a metaphorical trash can, where all the unpleasant or overly complicated tasks are dumped. No adequate boss will give too much work, at least on a permanent basis, because he knows that there will always be a “warmer” place, with the same salary and fewer responsibilities.
Conversely, an employee will be overwhelmed with difficult, sometimes even meaningless work, so that he or she cannot stand it and leaves the company of his or her own accord. At the same time, meaningful and, accordingly, more paid tasks are distributed among his or her colleagues.
You are not invited to corporate activities
This is not only about corporate parties and large-scale events where there are many colleagues, but also about conversations at work conferences outside of work moments. Such team building activities help to unite the team, make them not just colleagues, but also friends. If they don’t remember you there or communicate with you with obvious reluctance, then this is not just an initiative of the bosses, but also of the entire team.
Maybe you're at fault for something, or maybe, on the contrary, you're too good for this company and don't fit in. Whatever the reason, you know why it was started.
There are no reception days for you.
It is a normal situation when in a large company, higher management cannot give each employee attention due to lack of time and energy. For this, there is a recording system that allows you to distribute employees at different hours or days.
But for a person who is not wanted in the company, there is never any free time. Under any pretext, the manager will avoid contact with you or will do it as aloof as possible or even with irritation to show that you are not welcome here. Of course, they will not tell you openly about the reasons for such attitude and will only accuse you of unfounded speculations.
