Famous Ukrainian singer denied US visa

Popular Ukrainian singer Olena Topolya, formerly known as Alyosha, was unable to obtain a visa to the United States. In an interview, the singer said that her stay permit in the States was open until December 25, 2024, so she went to the embassy to renew her documents.

According to Olena, she did not plan to go to America, but just in case, she decided to get a new visa, given that relatives live in this country. However, the embassy staff refused to give her the documents. The star of the stage joked that the employees of the department did not see enthusiasm in her eyes, informs Ukr.Media.

It is worth noting that for a year and eight months, Olena lived in the USA with her three children in her mother-in-law's house. In 2023, she returned to Ukraine with her daughter and two sons of Topol.

“My visa to America expired, they didn't issue me a new one — and I'm very glad about that. My residence permit in the country was open until December 25 last year. I went to the embassy in Poland, because ours is not working. I filled out all the documents perfectly, because this is not the first time I've done this, they asked me something at the interview, I answered. But, they probably felt zero enthusiasm on my part for this visa. And they didn't give it. I wanted to renew it not because I had any specific plans, yes, just in case. And because our relatives are there. But, you see, the embassy didn't put a permit in my passport. I must say that I've never had anything like this. The first time they even issued me a visa for 10 years.”
