Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Friday dismissed the idea of running for president in 2028, seemingly countering claims made by conservative influencer Laura Loomer that he and his senior aides are subtly preparing for another presidential campaign while Kennedy oversees America’s health system.

"The swamp is in full panic mode," Kennedy stated in an extensive post on X. "DC lobbyists are working tirelessly to create divisions between President Trump and myself, aiming to prevent our team from dismantling the existing order and promoting [Trump's] Make America Healthy Again initiative."

"They're propagating the outright falsehood that I'm running for president in 2028. Let me be unequivocal: I am not running for president in 2028."

In the post, Kennedy also supported his long-time aide and deputy chief of staff at HHS, Stefanie Spear, who Loomer accused in a Politico interview this week of attempting "to lay the groundwork for a 2028 RFK presidential run."

In his X post, Kennedy praised Spear, describing her as "a fierce, devoted advocate for MAHA who proudly serves in the Trump Administration and strives daily to further President Trump's vision for a healthier, more robust America."

Spear acted as press secretary for Kennedy's unsuccessful presidential campaign, which concluded last August with a support for Trump.

Loomer, a fervent pro-Trump figure, has previously claimed to have instigated the dismissals of government officials she considered insufficiently loyal to the president. She did not immediately respond publicly to Kennedy's post.
