Former Assistant Says Sean 'Diddy' Combs Was 'Extremely Creative' With Drugs

A former college basketball player has claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs became “very creative” when he was using drugs.

The former player, who worked as a personal assistant, testified Friday in the music mogul's sex trafficking trial.

Brendan Paul, 26, was arrested last year at a Miami airport with cocaine he said belonged to Combs. He testified under immunity about what it was like working for the hip-hop entrepreneur for a year and a half.

Mr. Paul was arrested in March 2024, the same day federal agents conducted multiple searches as part of the Combs investigation.

Prosecutors are wrapping up their presentation of evidence after six weeks of questioning scores of witnesses, including former girlfriends and co-workers, men working in the sex industry and rapper Kid Cudi.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, also made a surprise appearance at the courthouse.

Prosecutors are trying to convince jurors that Combs ran a sprawling racketeering network for two decades that depended on employees willing to do anything for him, including buying drugs when necessary.

Defense attorneys argue that Combs did not commit federal crimes, though they acknowledge that prosecutors presented domestic violence allegations during his trial.
