According to the latest SW Research study, published by “Rzeczpospolita”, the largest percentage of Poles (94%) routinely deal with managing e-mails and online communication. Every tenth person spends as much as 10 hours a week on these activities – writes Thursday's “Rzeczpospolita”.
“Entrepreneurs in Poland waste time on routine tasks. Repetitive tasks, such as managing emails or customer service, take up valuable hours that could be used to develop the business. According to SW Research, as many as 47 percent of people working in the small and medium-sized enterprise sector declare that the aforementioned customer service takes them over 6 hours a week. However, the most burdensome routine duty – according to respondents (27 percent) – turns out to be financial management,” we read.
As the daily reports, “research commissioned by HP Inc Polska shows that nearly every second entrepreneur works more than a standard full-time job (40–50 hours a week). This often leads to neglecting other aspects of life.”
“Small and medium-sized companies are quite skeptical about replacing some activities with new technologies. As many as 82 percent of them show resistance when it comes to automating customer service.” In addition, “skepticism also concerns the use of artificial intelligence for creative tasks. 42 percent of respondents believe that AI will cope with them worse than humans,” reports “Rz”.
However, as Thursday's “Rzeczpospolita” writes, research also shows that those who are thinking about investing in technologies are willing to spend money on them if they save time (40 percent), reduce costs (26 percent), automate repetitive activities (20 percent), serve more customers (17 percent), and improve customer experience or increase company security (8 percent each).
“SW Research indicates that more than two out of three entrepreneurs notice progress in the use of modern technologies in business, and 40 percent claim that thanks to automation they could save up to 10 hours a week” – we read. (PAP)
