GAA matches this weekend: who's playing and where to watch

Hurling takes centre stage this weekend with plenty of exciting matches on the cards.

Limerick are looking to continue the success they enjoyed with their win over Tipperary last weekend as they sit fifth in Division 1A. They next face Galway, who are second in the division and who are coming off a win over Wexford.

There will be a double whammy of quality hurling on Sunday as Kilkenny take on Tipperary at Nowlan Park and Clare face Munster rivals Cork. It was announced last week that All-Ireland champions Clare will be without their star striker Shane O'Donnell, who will miss the rest of the season.

The reigning Hurler of the Year and All-Star was forced to undergo shoulder surgery and is not expected to return to the field until later in the year.

The 31-year-old has not featured this season but that has become the norm since 2022, with him only returning in the latter stages of the league.

There are just two football matches this weekend, with Wexford taking on Wicklow in Division 4 on Saturday and Sligo taking on Clare in Division 3 on Sunday.
