There were wins for Wexford, Meath and Wicklow in the opening round of the Leinster Football Championship this afternoon.
Wexford recorded a 4-19 to 0-8 win over Carlow, Longford went down 3-19 to 3-12 to the Royals and Wicklow surprised Westmeath with a 2-9 to 1-11 victory.
Munster
We’re set for another Cork and Kerry meeting in the Munster Football Championship this season.
The Rebels got past Limerick by 3-12 to 0-11 earlier today.
Clare will take on Waterford in the other side of the draw as the Deise beat Tipperary 2-7 to 1-5 in a first Munster win since 2010.
Connacht
Mayo are in New York ahead of getting their Connacht Football Championship campaign underway this evening.
That one is just underway in Gaelic Park.
Earlier, Sligo had no problems despatching Leitrim by 0-15 to 0-6.
