Many of us are impatiently waiting for warmer temperatures to be able to spend more time outdoors. For the cover of the April 1, 2024, issue, Mark Ulriksen gives a shape to that anticipation in the form of one of his favorite creatures. “Dogs are wonderful in so many ways,” Ulriksen said. “They will give you a hero’s welcome whether you’ve been gone for five minutes or five days.”
