Manchester United have beaten Fulham 1-0 in the opening Premier League fixture of the day.

Bruno Fernandes netted a late winner in the 91st minute to give the Red Devils a much-needed away win.

Manchester City were 6-1 winners against Bournemouth, with Jeremy Doku scoring twice and setting up another two.

Nathan Collins scored the winner for Brentford in their 3-2 win over West Ham, while Ashley Young’s own gave Brighton a point away at Everton where it finished 1-1.

Jeffery Schlupp’s goal has given Crystal Palace victory away at Burnley and it finished Sheffield United 1 Wolves 1.

In the evening kick-off, Anthony Gordon’s controversial goal gave Newcastle a 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Rugby

Connacht and Ulster have got the first inter-pro derby of the season underway, with 0-0 after 20 minutes.

Munster secured a bonus point victory over the Fragons with a 45-15 win

Leinster have picked up their second win of the campaign. They got the better of Edinburgh 36-27.

GAA

The first of the Leinster Club Football Championship quarter-finals will be staged this evening, as Carlow’s Éire Óg take on reigning All-Ireland champions Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin.

Throw-in at Cullen Park is at 7.45pm, with live coverage on RTÉ Two.
