U.S. skier Lindsey Vonn evacuated by helicopter from mountain following accident in Italy
Despite having a ruptured ACL, the skier Lindsey Vonn had just started the downhill race when her ski stick caught on a gate, leading to her fall. She was promptly taken to a nearby medical facility by helicopter.
